I illustrated the concept of F.U.N. (experiencing frivolous unanticipated nonsense) in learning by showing this picture of me playing drums in a world whose name I will have to retrieve from my landmarks in SL (when you find a space you like you can 'landmark' it and then teleport back there by retrieving the landmark from your inventory).
When you touch these drums (right click on them and play is one of the options) your avatar is placed behind the drum, its hands start making drumming motions, and you hear the drum you are playing. If there are other people present they can play too and you hear their drums accompanying yours. If you have a number of people there you can have a drum symphony that makes great background noise to accompany whatever other online activities you are engaged in
