Meet Sue: Yahoo Messenger Interview with Vance

Sue and Vance met by chance on Yahoo Messenger in mid-November, 2000
and had the following chat:

vance_stevens: Hi. Long time no see.
mysailing: hi, vance.
mysailing: how are you recently?
vance_stevens: I'm doing very well. A bit busy. Back to running. Teaching diving. Getting behind in work. Yourself?
mysailing: busier than before, make new friends, dating
vance_stevens: dating ?
mysailing: make a date
vance_stevens: Do you mean you are going out with someone special?
mysailing: I am trying to sell myself out before 30 years old
mysailing: not special, just try to date with japanese
vance_stevens: In my opinion, women are their most attractive in their 30's. And you can start a family anytime during that time. So you have another 10 years. No hurry.
mysailing: great. But my relatives are worried. They even want me to go back china to find someone
vance_stevens: So you want to stay in Japan for a long time? Are you yourself concerned?
mysailing: no, i am not going to stay in japan for a long time,
mysailing: a bit boring of this job
mysailing: want to go back to University to learn computer for two years
vance_stevens: To a university in China?
mysailing: I hope to pass GRE and could get scholarship
mysailing: no, to JS
vance_stevens: JS?
mysailing: UK's tuition fee is too high
mysailing: US, sorry
vance_stevens: Oh, that sounds pretty cool. Do you have anywhere in mind in the US?
mysailing: I have no deposit at all
vance_stevens: No idea about where to go you mean?
mysailing: yes, just send a few applicatinos to see who can give me scholarship
vance_stevens: That sounds difficult. Are you well qualified for a scholarship? Do you know of special scholarships for overseas students?
mysailing: you have any good ideas?
mysailing: seems, as long ass i get high scores in 'GRE ' and 'TOFEl7.
mysailing: I have good scores in university and graduate school.
vance_stevens: What's your TOEFL score? Have you taken it yet?
mysailing: last year, just passed 560
mysailing: need to take it again
mysailing: but sounds 'GRE' is more difficult
vance_stevens: 560 is not a bad score. Have you checked what the entry requirements are?
mysailing: normally they only ask for over 550, but in order to get scholarship, i have to pass 620
mysailing: need to go back for working.
mysailing: see you then
vance_stevens: Yeah, that means you have to read a lot in English I think. Do you do that?
vance_stevens: Ok, thanks for the chat.
