Unlike most parents who give their children names by themselves or by fortunetellers, my grandfather named me, "Zi Ying Chang", since in my family he is the most authoritative man who gives new babies names. Every time I mention this point, I really enjoy that surprise. My first name, "Zi", is my grandfather's favorite color, purple. In his opinion, purple represents mystery and elegance. On the other hand, he hoped that his granddaughter could have her own style and independent thinking. In addition, "Ying", in Chinese, is the finest part of the plant. That is why he expects me to be the top one among others no matter in what kind of field. My last name is my family's name which passes from generation to generation. In a nutshell, I am really proud of my name for its uniqueness and identity.
