Grandpa stood on his boat and waved his hand to us.
Grandpa ! How would you be in the boat?
When we hesitated over how to get on the boat, grandpa picked up us by dinghy.

It was one of the most memorable experiences in my life.
It was the first time I ever went fishing.
When Grandpa invited Emiko to be the driver. May and I envied her.
When the boat stopped, the host showed us how to catch the fish.
We used simple equipment and put the bait down into the sea.
We had to wait only a minute. The line jerked suddenly.
¡§It is hooked!¡¨Emiko wound the crank to pull in the line. There was a fish biting the bait with the open eyes.
Were we cruel? I think so. Now I am a vegetarian and hate to hurt any animals. But if grandpa had been forbidden to go fishing, he could not have existed on the small island above the Arctic Circle. There is no vegetable or fruit for eating. Life is hard, isn¡¦t it?I was happy at that time. I asked to reel in the line next time. But by then the fish had become too smart not to bite the bait more. I got little a disappointed. (On other hand, I was lucky. I did not hurt any fish by my hand.)

Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4
Grandpa killed fishes and threw their internal organs into the sea.
Suddenly, the white spots on the island were moving. These were not spots. They were white-sea-birds. Many sea birds flew all over the sky and were rushing down to catch these internal entrails. You can not image when ten thousands of sea birds attack on you in a minute. Everybody stopped to take a photo of the sea birds. After Just one second, the sea birds went back to the island quickly. All became calm again.
It was raining again. ¡§We have to go back.¡¨ Grandpa said.
¡§Do you want to take the 11 o¡¦clock bus to Nordkap?¡¨ Our host asked.
I hoped to stay at Aina¡¦s house one more night.
But I didn¡¦t know what Michelle and May were thinking.
Nobody answered the host¡¦s question. Only the wind blew.
Emiko wanted to move to another youth hostel. She had stayed at the wrong place last night. It had cost an extra 100 kroner. She had had some communication problem with Petri. Petri had missed her words. She had not realized that until Aina told her that each bed was 200 Kroner. But we were getting to like this family, Emiko too. ¡§I can not afford the charge. It is too expensive. ¡¨ Emiko said. Michelle went to talk to Aina to negotiate the price to stay more one night. In the end, we decided Emiko would move to our room to sleep with Michelle,
I moved to May¡¦s room to sleep on the floor. Aina gave us a discount to use 2 bedrooms.
¡§It is better to leave here by boat. My travel guide said¡¨ Emiko suggested. It is a cruise party, isn¡¦t it?
We were supposed to go to Nordkap in Petri¡¦s bus and stayed at Aina¡¦s house until next morning.
¡§Do you know the timetable for the boat?¡¨
¡§Loften will be leaving at 6:00 tomorrow morning at Hnningsv4F.¡¨
¡§Another tourist group will come here this afternoon. I will go to town to buy something, so two of you can go with me to buy the ticket for the boat.¡¨ Aina said. ¡§Give us a ride?¡¨ ¡§Yes.¡¨
Everything would be nice. Grandpa and Host moved another bed into May¡¦s room for me. It¡¦s not good to sleep on the floor above the Arctic Circle.
We had no more food. May and Emiko would go to town with Aina.
May planned to go to the supermarket to buy some food for us.
A meal would be very expensive on the boat. We could not afford it.
We ate lunch in our room. Emiko was amazed about the boiled eggs and bread in our luggage.
When Aina came upstairs and called Emiko to go to town.
May and I were just chatting in our room.
We didn¡¦t know they had left until Michelle told us.
¡§Emiko¡K I hate you¡K ¡§
¡§Maybe we could go to town by ourselves.¡¨ May said.
¡§On foot¡K10 km to HonningsvaF?¡¨
¡§Absolute not. We can go there by bike.¡¨
There were two bikes leaning on the wall.
¡§The children are taking a nap now. They would not mind us riding their bikes.¡¨ May said.
I had to confess that was a good idea.
It was another adventure at Kamoyv3r. >>
