Hi, each and every Webhead out there :-)

Well, we managed to make it a day, without Vance present, jetlagged or not :-)) Whenever Webheads meet, I think some kind of (verbal) action will happen! Todays' meeting in Tapped In was cool, in my eyes, because Dafne had some great TESOL news to share. Which you will, no doubt, hear more about later. As a surprise, Dafne had prepared some wonderful fresh pages about the Valencian spring festival, the Fallas, where she has had her heart the last month or so. (while being so dynamic as an active Webhead, too; this dynamic woman ever get some sleep? :-) Nan had come in, just to see the finished page. Dafne's authentic new photos, featuring the illuminated streets and beatifully dressed women in traditional costumes, embroidered with gold, (guess who is the prettiest of all?), were followed with the lively description of fireworks, people filling the streets and giant statues made for the occasion, burning all ovter the city for the last day, the Crema. We discussed how Webheads in Action can help making the annual tradition: our 24 hour Tapped In Summer Carnival: Dafne had an idea of a "watermelon pool party", that made Chris in Germany get homesick for California. I've never been to any pool party, nor a watermelon party, sounds active, wet and juicy to me? The summer carnival is a day where most ASO groups meet and make each a one hour session for guests and friends,m usually with a very informal touch, but still informative, and with a possibility to reach new audience. Last year was great fun! BJB is in the coordination group. She just started a Yahoogroup! There will be a carnival planning comittee session in TI, called a Water Cooler confab on April, 25. time: 2:00-3:00pm PDT/5:00-6:00pm EDT ( I think this will be 23:00-24:00 GMT?) Ask BJ for details or read todays' log.

Webheads socializing: David was giving away free tickets to Valencia, Spain, as a travel agent. He was also taking orders for bagels, his special treat. He even tried to spread peanut butter (PB) and cookie crumbs all over my shiny new PB keyboard. And, yes to Maggie, we DO have peanut butter in Denmark, and as a child I found it very delicious, today I dare not have it in my kitchen as I have to take care of my volume. Dan was with us for a while, talking to Ying who showed up shortly from New York. She said there is not much time left after work to see the city of NY. I told her about the movie I saw yesterday from Taipei, Taiwan by Edward Wang. In Denmark the film title is Yi Yi. A modern family legend, and a masterpiece. By the way, in the film, a Chinese and a Japanese are meeting for computer business, and use their common language, English. None of them speak a standard English indeed, but they do manage to meet on common ground, after going to a karaoke bar.(referring to Teresa's answer to Nigel earlier today)

Teresa, Dafne, Aiden, Ali & myself tried to get the silly webcams working in iVisit, but with no great succes so far. Teresa even came in later and we gave it a try, but ended up in talking about Webheads instead. I need to find out what my local problem is, and to practise a little on my own. I wish I could just skip the PC/mac gap, maybe I will give up and add SoftPC to my system and emulate Windows, instead of insisting for equal rights regardless of incompatibility :-)

All in all, an active session with a highly varied content. I look forward to our Webheads Sundays whenever I find the time to join.
