Moral in China: maybe you don't believe. i don't use English in my real life.

Antje: So, you never really speak it?

Moral in China: I can't use Hearme. That's why my speaking is much worse that my writing.

Antje: W

Antje: Sorry, wrong key

Antje: Why can¨t you use hearme?

Moral in China: I spoke English about 5 years. I almost haven't done it after that..

Moral in China: i don't know. Maybe only a connection problem.

Moral in China: Sorry...5 years ago.

Antje: You are not Andy Moral who used to be in Hongkong, are you?

Moral in China: I am not. I've never been to Hongkong. I live in Kunming.

Antje: Where is Kunming?

Moral in China: Kunming City, Yunnan Province, China.

Antje: And are you in an Internet Cafe or do you have a computer at home?

Moral in China: Kunming is in the south-west of China. the capital of Yunnan Province.

Moral in China: I am at home now.

* Antje * Why is noone else in the palace?

Moral in China: They must be at Hearme where it is more funny.

* Antje * I hear all these people talking and actually, I¨d like to try it out as well.

Moral in China: Sure, do't hesitate.

* Antje * But I like talking to you, too. I´d like to know more about your learning

Moral in China: Ok, I'll be here to answer any question from Vance's session.

Ying-Lan: Hi, this is Ying Lan

* Antje * Hi Ying-Lan, where are you?

Ying-Lan: Hello. moral.

* Antje * Ying, are you learning English, as well?

Ying-Lan: )APPLAUSE

Antje: Do you like my new outfit?

Ying-Lan: Yes..

Moral in China: Hi Ying.

Antje: I like your outfit, Ying-Lan

Ying-Lan: Antje.. it is the frist time..

Ying-Lan: Hello Moral.

Antje: But you used some of the other features before?

Moral in China: Sorry... I left to check the url.

Ying-Lan: What kind of URL did you check?

Moral in China: Michael is trying to come here but failed.

Antje: Ok, Moral, tell me the url, please

Moral in China: Sorry I haven't got it. Ying, do you remember the weheads homepage?

Ying-Lan: Michael is speaking at our voice chat room now.

Ying-Lan: I don't remember the url of webheads.

Ying-Lan: I usually go to http://www.netword.com then key in "webheads".

Moral in China: Yes. http://www.netword.com/webheads

Ying-Lan: Go to www.netword.com then type "webheads'.... they will lead you be webhead homepage.

Moral in China: webheads.

Antje: Thak you. Vance just showed us your pictures!

Ying-Lan: My picture... I was fat at that time.

Ying-Lan: Antje... are you a teacher in the conference in BCN?

Antje: No, I think you look really sweet!

Antje: No, I am at the CALL conference in BArcelona, where Vance uis demonstrating all this

Ying-Lan: Thanks... But "You've got a mail" always is a movie not a truth in my life. ;-))

Ying-Lan: You are the only one teacher who came here... everyone at our voice chat room.

Antje: Yes, there is a problem and only one person can be on the Palace

Ying-Lan: Is it depend on the software?

Antje: I think it is a registering problem

Ying-Lan: Moral is gone.

Ying-Lan: Do you have questions about the webheads?

* Antje * Yes: how do you actually learn? Of course you learn when you talk as well but what else are you doing?

Ying-Lan: It is dificult to say about learning...

Ying-Lan: But I have been learning how to speak by conversation with Vance, Michael and maggi.

Ying-Lan: Sometimes, I read some materials...

Ying-Lan: But I think it is important to learn how to express myself in English from the Webheads.

Antje: So, you mostly use the hearme option?

Ying-Lan: Because I could study grammer , ... from the book.

Ying-Lan: Yes,,. I use hear me to talk to teachers on Sunday night.

Antje: Yes, sure. Are there agreed topics you talk about?

Ying-Lan: But I have some trouble with speaking and listening.

Ying-Lan: Sometimes.. we discussed everything...

Moral in China: @64,64 !It's Moral in China

Moral in China: Sorry! A connection failure.

Antje: How many students are present at the Sunday chats?

Ying-Lan: We did not make rule or schedult on studying.

Ying-Lan: Only two or three...

Antje: Oh, this is a good number - so everybody has a chance to speak

Ying-Lan: We do not force students come to class. you know it is free.

Antje: Why are there so few?

Ying-Lan: Yes... sometimes 5...

Ying-Lan: It is free....

Ying-Lan: I think only few people know the web site.

Ying-Lan: You know it limit the time schedule.

Antje: But Vance is always there?

Moral in China: Mostly, Vance is here.

Ying-Lan: Yes, he is.

Ying-Lan: except he went to travel.

Antje: So, you can really exploit him as a teacher.

Ying-Lan: But he always is here as he could.

Ying-Lan: He is a teacher.....

Antje: When I am back home (Germany) I am going tyo look at the wesites in detail. I find this all very interesting

Ying-Lan: I don't understand why you said " you can really exploit him as a teacher.".

Ying-Lan: One of our teachers..., maggi, she lives in Germany too.

Ying-Lan: Maggi is a American but she lives in Germany.

Antje: I am thinking how to use the environment for my language centre, as well.

Moral in China: and teacher Michael Coghlan is in Austrilia.

Moral in China: Vance also has a group for teachers. (http://www.netword.com/teaching4webheads - ed)

Antje: I mean it is a very good ratio: one teacher and only 3 students or so - that means intensive learning, I think

Antje: so Ying-Lan, where in Germany are you?

Ying-Lan: No... I don't remember the name of town... let me ask her.

Moral in China: we have dozens of classmates but we can't be here all. you know some are sleeping.

Moral in China: Ying is in Taiwan.

Antje: sorry

Antje: What time is it in China / Taiwan?

Moral in China: 18:16

Ying-Lan: It is p.m. 6:15 in Taiwan.

Ying-Lan: Moral... we are at the same time area?

Moral in China: yes, I think so Ying.

Ying-Lan: Michael always give us the topic to write.

Antje: here it´s 12:16 pm - so that´s a reasonable time for us- the Americans are still asleep, of course

Ying-Lan: But there is nothing in my mind... I have no idea to write down something.

Antje: And does he then correct the writing? Or do other students do?

Moral in China: the teachers do this.

Ying-Lan: Yes, they do.

Ying-Lan: Vance always put those story on web site.

Ying-Lan: I means teachers correct the student's email.

Ying-Lan: There are three teachers, Vance, Maggi and Michael, at our webheads.

Ying-Lan: Moral could speak English better than me.

Moral in China: Thanks. but I almost really speak it... I write...

Moral in China: You speak very well Ying, I heard.

Moral in China: ...I almost can not really speak it...

Ying-Lan: thanks... tone or pronounceation?

Moral in China: I think you are good at both...I can't use Headme so I need some chances to speak I think.

Ying-Lan: But you could use pure voice to record your voice,

Ying-Lan: there is a good method to learn speaking English.

Ying-Lan: I usually record the movie by type... then I play those type when I am driving.

Moral in China: That's different from real-time chat - You don't need to come up with the words instantly.

Antje has left and Sophie joins ...

Antje: HI guys just joining for a short while

Ying-Lan: I also find those script on line... sometimes I read those scripts to help me understanding the movie.

Antje: My name is Sophie

Moral in China: Nice to see you Sophie.

Ying-Lan: ^Maggi lives at Griesheim...near Darmstadt which is just south of Frankfurt....

Ying-Lan: But Moral, I could repeat those dialog when I was driving.

Sophie: Nice to meet you, too

Ying-Lan: I think it helps me speak out.

Sophie: How did you get your pink panther avatar

Ying-Lan: Sophis.. are you cut off the line?

Moral in China: I watch English movies too...but it seems to me that I don't need to talk much. :)

Sophie: Got to go now. The session is finishing

Ying-Lan: From the palce.

Sophie: bye!!!!!

Ying-Lan: But you could grab now.

Moral in China: sorry. we talk so short.

Moral in China: bye sophie.

Ying-Lan: To grab three icon by your mouse , put it into your suitcase.

Moral in China: Ying, are you at Hearme?

Ying-Lan: Yes, I ma.

Ying-Lan: am

Moral in China: who else?

Ying-Lan: But the conference seems end

Ying-Lan: You can not get there because the frie wall.

Moral in China: may not the firewall... maybe something else.

Ying-Lan: I want to go... It is time for dinner in my house.

Vance has now taken over Sophie's avatar

Sophie: Thank (this is vance, btw)

Moral in China: Ok, bye. and you can download Voxphone. I can use it.

Ying-Lan: hi, vance. I heard your voice through Chris-Fry-BCn
