Maggi: @64,64 !It's Maggi

Vance: how tall am I?

Maggi: yes...how tall are you?

Vance: Do you mean in real life or this pcat here?

Ying-Lan: @64,64 !It's Ying-Lan

Maggi: in real life silly...

Ying-Lan: HI

Vance: 5 ft 10, 11 you?

Vance: hi yl?

Ying-Lan: Sorry for being late.

Vance: I mean, hi yl!

Maggi: Hi Yinglan

Ying-Lan: ^I could not go away when I watched HBO at that time.

Ying-Lan: I apologize.

Maggi: am 1.70...5ī7"

Ying-Lan: What were you talking about?

Vance: Sizes. How tall are you, YL?

Maggi: How tall we are.

Ying-Lan: ^I am only 155 c.m.

Maggi: petite

Vance: How tall am I in cm? about 1.85??

Maggi: no...I donīt think so Vance.

Ying-Lan: ^I don't know how to coverse it.

Maggi: an inch is 2.5 cm

Maggi: you might hit 1.80

Ying-Lan: ^I am short.

Ying-Lan: and fat

Maggi: no...not even that...1.80 is 6 ft.

Vance: You don't look fat in your pictures.

Maggi: you fat?

Ying-Lan: ^I am getting fat now.

Maggi: you are dreaming!

Maggi: I donīt think you know what fat really is...:-)

Ying-Lan: Sure, I don't want to compare American size.

Ying-Lan: Sure, I don't want to compare with American size.

Ying-Lan: just kiding.

Maggi: so you are not fat...you see...

Maggi: :-)

Ying-Lan: .... :-)

Vance: I worry about getting fat too. In the summer in Abu Dhabi it's too hot to run far, and beer tastes good in the heat.

Maggi: My laptop wonīt connect...but I have another teacher here with me.

Maggi: Her name is Eileen...we work together at Merck.

Ying-Lan: ^Vance, I have heard a bad news in Taiwan last weekend.

Maggi: Sshe wanted to see what we do here.

Ying-Lan: ^There was an accident when people went to diving in Taiwan.

Vance: Hi Eileen. What bad news?

Ying-Lan: ^I am not Eileen.

Maggi: No...Eileen is here with me.

Vance: Sorry, that was to two people. Hi Eileen (in Germany)

Ying-Lan: ^Some are carzy for diving in Taiwan. Where is Eileen?

Vance: And (to YL) what kind of diving accident?

Vance: Eileen is Maggi's friend in Germany. She is trying to join us using Maggi's laptop, but M can't connect it.

Ying-Lan: ^I am not sure... It was bad.. rainny and .. you know it is dangerous of Taiwan Channel if it is bad.

Maggi: Eileen is following the conversation here.-

Maggi: We are still trying the laptop.

Vance: Hence, hi Eileen. To YL: was it a boating accident then?

Maggi: She is English by the way and very cheeky.

Maggi: sometimes

Vance: Too bad we can't meet her in "person". Cheekiness is welcome here.

Maggi: ok...Iīll let her talk now.

Vance: Cheeky = irreverent, not following directions of those in authority

Vance: YL, tell us about the accident.

Maggi: This is really a new experience here t Maggie'a house.

Vance: Yes. You are a teacher?

Maggi: She has thiskind of neat keybaord which I'm finding pretty difficult to work.

Ying-Lan: Like Taiphone coming... They went to diving, but something happened... Two of them saw a boat, and tried to get some help but they disappeared. Police found survivor in sea.

Vance: Is this the keyboard that broke recently?

Maggi: Yes, I'm an English trainer and work with

Maggi: Maggie.

Ying-Lan: survivors

Maggi: Maggie bought a new one.

Vance: Were they lost diving YL? It sounds foolish if they went diving in a typhoon.

Ying-Lan: ^Vance, is it save to diving?

Vance: It's very safe to dive, but it's not safe to go out in boats in typhoons.

Ying-Lan: Typhoon was not realling coming.. but it was getting bad at that time.

Vance: My whole family dives. Two weeks ago we were all diving together, all 4 of us in the water at the same time. I feel it's safe for my children.

Ying-Lan: ^They went to diving at the south top of Taiwan island.

Vance: Even Bobbi feels it's safe for the kids, and she's very protective.

Vance: South tip of the island? Is the diving good there?

Ying-Lan: ^Sometime, we can not fight with the power of Nature.

Maggi: I guess diving is a great sport, but you sure have to know what it's about

Ying-Lan: ^You know.. I don't know how to swimming...

Felix: @64,64 !It's Felix

Ying-Lan: ^Before I go to diving, I have to learn how to swimming.

Vance: I trained my son when he was 13 and his friend who was 14. Kids make great divers. Very conscienscious

Vance: Hi Felix.

Vance: consciencious ??

Ying-Lan: HI, Felix...

Vance: conscientious?

Maggi: Hi, Felix. I'm Maggie's friend Eileen. Maggie is trying to connect me on the laptop.

Vance: Talk about cheeky .. Eileen, meet Felix.

Ying-Lan: Hi, Eileen.. I thought you were maggi...

Felix: Hi Elileen... Maggi is not that good at "connections"

Felix: Hi all

Vance: hi

Felix: what is cheeky Vance??

Ying-Lan: ^Eileen, are you a Germany?

Vance: Did you go out last night Felix?

Vance: cheeky = irreverent, not obeying authority (loose, relaxed, funny)

Felix: Nope... I slept like a baby from 7 to 12:00 then I woke up

Vance: 7 a.m or pm?

Maggi: Yes, I live in Germany, but I'm a Brit

Felix: pm

Vance: 7 pm to 12 noon???

Felix: yep

Vance: Eileen, have Maggi put that in her survey.

Felix: I was having a beer here another there in the afternoon Vance.

Maggi: Well, I'm relaxed in a funny loose sort of way.

Vance: Maybe I should try that. I am not sleeping enough.

Ying-Lan: ^Last Thirsity night, there was no electronic supply in Taiwan for 2 hours... Some place without it for more 36 hours.

Vance: because of the typhoon?

Felix: What was the problem ying?

Ying-Lan: NO. It's fault of Electronic company... I don't know how to say it... but the machine was out of order.

Maggi: Well you all live dangerous lives. We only get heavy thunder sotms here in Germany.

Vance: sounds like electric service in California

Ying-Lan: ^First, Everybody had the same idea, China was fighting to us... Joke?

Felix: we'd better buy candles...

Ying-Lan: ^Police, soldiers,,, whole of the goverment were up all night to find the problem.

Vance: Just Kaichung? Or all of Taiwan?

Ying-Lan: ^We lost a lot of money in Taiwan because of without electronic supply.

Ying-Lan: ^All of Taiwan island except Kaoshiung and Taitung.. (south of Taiwan island).

Felix: Eileen, what do you do in German?

Ying-Lan: ^To be preceise, The northern part of Tainan was in dark at that time.

Maggi: Does this kind of thing happen regularly?

Vance: YL, you're in Kaoshiung, aren't you?

Ying-Lan: ^NO,,, It was the first time when I grown up.

Vance: No, that's on the southwest corner isn't it?

Ying-Lan: ^It is shark!

Vance: So you're in Kaichung in the center? Or am I confused.

Maggi: Felix. I teach.

Vance: Do you see a shark?

Vance: Or do you mean, it was dark ..

Ying-Lan: ^Taichung is in the center of Taiwan island.

Vance: Taichung! Right. I've got it.

Maggi: I'm going to let Maggie back on line now, see you later.

Ying-Lan: ^I did shark at the time. It was strang, I was dark in the house, but it was bright out out of the house.

Vance: You did shark? What do you mean?

Vance: Were you shocked?

Ying-Lan: ^Next day, we read what happened in Newpaper.

Maggi: I donīt know why the laptop wonīt connect.

Ying-Lan: ^I was shock!

Vance: You were shocked.

Maggi: The first time was clear...I wasnīt online...duh!

Ying-Lan: ^shocked

Ying-Lan: HI, maggi.

Vance: The voice sounds like Maggi's ...

Ying-Lan: Vance, are you in your office now?

Vance: Yes, I am.

Maggi: Iīd be shocked to see a shark..

Maggi: :-)

Ying-Lan: maggi, you laughed at me!

Vance: I'm usually happy to see them. They're like puppy dogs.

Ying-Lan: ....:-)

Maggi: nope...just smiled Ying

Maggi: a big white I mean...the others wouldnīt bother me.

Maggi: I am pretty much not afraid of anything.

Felix: sharks... puppy dogs....... Maggi you are insane

Vance: I'd be wary of a big white.

Maggi: maybe Felix...but it is a nice way to be.

Vance: Like I'd be wary of a bull terrier.

Vance: (another puppy dog)

Felix: what is wary?

Maggi: Ok...so would I...

Maggi: careful

Vance: I would be wary ... like beware ...

Felix: Last week I was attacked by a pitbull..

Maggi: gooed griefg!

Maggi: sorry... good grief

Felix: fortunatelly he only destroyed by sandal... but for a second it couldn't get my ankle.

Vance: Gooed griefg here too!!

Maggi: are you allright Felix?

Felix: ??????

Felix: oh yes.. The dog didn't bite me.. only my sandal. PHEW!!!

Vance: How did that happen Felix? Were you running from someone's house in the middle of the night?

Maggi: you were lucky then

Maggi: :-)

Felix: no Vance. I went to my next door's house to lend a videotape and the girl forgot that the dog was around.

Felix: So lucky!!!

Felix: After that I drank 2 bottles of wine...

Maggi: same film you left in the videorecorder last time?

Vance: Is it necessary to keep dogs there to scare off intruders?

Felix: nooo Maggi

Vance: (That must be where Felix gets his films)

Maggi: just asking

Felix: yes. Dogs are common here

Maggi: Bull terriors?

Felix: and other breeds too

Maggi: Iīd have a snake.

Felix: I have my own

Maggi: A big one.

Ying-Lan: Snake?

Ying-Lan: It is terrible.

Vance: People used to keep a lot of dogs in Hawaii for the same reason. No one needs them here.

Maggi: Yyes, Ying...like a boa constricter.

Felix: did you get Denilson`s E-mail...

Maggi: I like snakes.

Felix: what is constricter maggi?

Felix: boa ???? boa is a portuguese word

Maggi: the big snake that wraps around you and squeezes.

Felix: Sucuri you mean Maggi..

Maggi: smaller than an anaconda

Vance: I used to collect snakes when I was a kid. I was fascinated by them. I had several.

Ying-Lan: ^I hate snake.. it is too dangerous.

Felix: Like the movie hmmmmmmmmm I forgot..... You mentioned it to me....

Maggi: no...not all snakes are dangerous Ying.

Ying-Lan: Vance, you collected sankes when you were a kid?

Maggi: Besides, they are more scared of you.

Ying-Lan: I can not believe it.

Felix: most of our snakes are poisonous

Vance: Yes, once I lost one in the house. It was only tiny, but my mom was scared ...

Maggi: I used to catch them in the desert in Arizona.

Ying-Lan: But they eat small animal

Maggi: Sso, we eat big animals

Vance: I want to say 'scared shitless' ... it's a common expression among friends (don't use it at a job interview).

Felix: Have you ever faced a Naja Maggi?

Maggi: a naja?

Vance: a kind of snake?

Felix: yes... that snakes that bit Cleopatra.

Felix: that snake

Vance: a cobra

Maggi: my mother was too Vance when I brought mxy catches home alive and wanted to keep them.

Felix: did you call that snake a Cobra?

Maggi: No cobras for me...they are nasty.

Vance: I used to just grab snakes by their tails. I caught them in fields. I knew the poisonous ones and didn't grab them.

Felix: funny

Felix: cobra in portuguese is snake

Maggi: by the tail?

Ying-Lan: what a brave boy was!

Vance: or a stupid one

Maggi: very brave...you should grab them behind the head.

Vance: but at any rate, I rarely got bitten.

Felix: second option is better

Vance: I used to grab them and pull up fast enough to get their head before they could bite me.

Felix: you didnt answer me.. did you get any e-mail from Denilson??

Maggi: grab them by the tail and they can swing back and bit.

Ying-Lan: Who are you? felix?

Vance: If they were trying to get away I almost had to grab them by their tail. I would be chasing them.

Felix: in flesh and blood Ying

Vance: Sorry felix, no I didn't get his email

Felix: He is in USA now...

Ying-Lan: I forgot it.

Vance: really??

Ying-Lan: Really?

Felix: yep

Vance: Did he get the job?

Felix: yep

Vance: alRIGHT!

Ying-Lan: Which city does he live now?

Maggi: The last one I got from Moral closed my program down when I tried to open it.

Felix: someplace in California

Vance: Hmm, we'll have to write him, have him check in. That's great.

Maggi: Hey that is great to hear.

Felix: write to him......

Vance: Email shuts down your computer Maggi?

Ying-Lan: It is great!

Maggi: no, just the email program

Felix: what e-mail program do you use Maggi?

Vance: I don't get it

Maggi: I get the famous error message...you have committed an illegal operation...blah blah.

Maggi: t-onliner

Ying-Lan: Vance, Seawalker helped me to try to find my friend in Korea...

Maggi: t-online is the Telekom email program

Felix: did you find him/ her Ying?

Maggi: wow...

Ying-Lan: ^He is working now...

Vance: Hey, that's great too, YL!! We read your notes back and forth.

Maggi: He is really a very sweet person.

Ying-Lan: ^Not yet.

Vance: Oh, you mean he's trying to help you find him.

Ying-Lan: yes

Felix: I tried once to find someone in Norway...

Ying-Lan: Trying to help me.

Maggi: He is single Ying.

Felix: but I had no luck

Michael C: @64,64 !It's Michael C

Ying-Lan: hi, Michaelc.

Maggi: Hi Micahel...

Michael C: Evening all.

Maggi: mc#

Vance: MC, fo real! Howzit?

Felix: howzit??????????????

Ying-Lan: Michael c, I read your email, that's great one!

Michael C: For real - it's fine!

Michael C: Feeling playful Vance?

Maggi: I have an English friend here...colleague...Eileen...she is reading with me.

Vance: That's what people usually say in Hawaii. Howzit, meaning how is it (going).

Felix: o ok

Maggi: Vance is always playful..

Michael C: Which email Ying?

Vance: Hawaiians have very colorful language.

Maggi: used to grab snakes by the tail.

Ying-Lan: Talking about Friends in 12 letters.

Maggi: You catch snakes as a boy Micael?

Vance: I don't think I'd do that nowadays.

Ying-Lan: Talking about Friends in 26 letters.

Michael C: I don't undertand Ying. Maybe that was someone else?

Ying-Lan: really.

Maggi: Well, Michael...did you?

Ying-Lan: ^(A)ccepts you as you are

(B)elieves in "you"

(C)alls you just to say "HI"

(D)oesn't give up on you

(E)nvisions the whole of you (even the unfinished parts)

Michael C: Didn't what? I didn't post what Ying just quoted.

Michael C: Didn't catch snakes either.

Ying-Lan: All... Did you not email the attached file to me?

Michael C: No.

Maggi: Not me.

Ying-Lan: I am confused ... who is another Michaelc?

Vance: Me neither

Felix: neither did I

Maggi: You donīt even have snakes in Australia or?

Michael C: We have lots of snakes.

Maggi: Ok...then itīs New Zealand.

Vance: Sounds like the definition of a good friend, YL.

Ying-Lan: Do you like snake, Michaelc?

Michael C: The deadliest in the world in fact.

Ying-Lan: Let me show you the rest.

Maggi: Guess not if he didnīt catch them.

Ying-Lan: ^G)ives unconditionally

(H)elps you

(I)nvites you over

(J)ust "be" with you

(K)eeps you close at heart

(L)oves you for who you are

(M)akes a difference in your life

(N)ever Judges

Michael C: Yes I like snakes. It's like what Vance said about sharks last week. They share the planet with us!

Vance: I get it. It's alphabetical.

Maggi: that is a great list Ying.

Ying-Lan: ^(O)ffers support

(P)icks you up

(Q)uiets your fears

(R)aises your spirits

(S)ays nice things about you

(T)ells you the truth when you need to hear it

Vance: (just kidding, mc)

Michael C: Nope! Wasn't me. Besides, I'm not that nice.

Maggi: those are all the things I try to do to be a good friend.

Maggi: Not true Michael.

Ying-Lan: ^This email was a little weired, so I deleted it. Just copyed it and pasted it by word.

Maggi: You pick peo

Maggi: oops

Ying-Lan: ^I don't know who sent it to me... like another Michael

Maggi: you pick people up out of the crosswalk.

Michael C: Thanks Maggi!

Ying-Lan: ^I could not find "zap" in my dictionary.

Eileen: @64,64 !It's Eileen

Ying-Lan: Hi. Eileen. you did it.

Maggi: I finally did it

Michael C: Hello Eileen!

Ying-Lan: She is not our Eileen in egoup list.

Vance: Hi Eileen. Ah, the German Eileen??

Vance: Zap = strike quickly, like lightning

Maggi: No, she is a colleague of mine

Michael C: A colleague from Merck?

Felix: Letter from an African writer

my fair skin brother

when I was born, I was black

when I grew up, I was black

When I am out in the son, I am black

when I am feeling cold, I am black

Felix: When I am scared, I am black

When I am sick, I am black

When I die, I'll be black

Felix: And you, white man

when you was born, you were pink

when you grew up, you were white

when you go out in the sun, you get red

when you feel cold, you get purple

Felix: when you are scared, you get white

when you are sick, you get green

when you die, you'll get gray

After all this, White Man,

Do till dare to call me a colored man?

Felix: very insteresting this text

Maggi: there is song about that Felix

Felix: correction.. Do you still dare to call me a colored man?

Felix: Really Maggi??

Eileen: @64,64 !It's Eileen

Maggi: Eileen was terminated due to inat

Maggi: inactivity.

Vance: I like the one about ebony and ivory, the two colors of keys on the piano that go together to make music.

Felix: i dont know this one Vance

Vance: Do you mean you killed her Maggi? Sounds cold.

Maggi: yes, but the wording in the song is more graphic.

Michael C: Terminated by inactivity? What does this mean?

Vance: So you just bumped her off, Maggi?

Maggi: I`īve seen the video...

Felix: which Video Maggi?

Maggi: The laptop is so slow they bump her for being inactive.

Michael C: Does that mean she has to talk more?!

Maggi: the video to the song Felix.

Maggi: No, I never saw that message before

Felix: everyone is so quiet

Maggi: We will try again

Vance: I've seen it too. I don't really care for the music all that much, but the message struck a chord.

Ying-Lan: ^Have you heard a writer named John Cage in USA?

Vance: A composer, right?

Maggi: yes

Ying-Lan: ^He is a writer, right?

Vance: Do you like his music, YL?

Vance: Or have I got the wrong Cage ??

Felix: I only know Nicholas Cage

Ying-Lan: ^I don't who is John Cage. I just read one sentence on the cup of Amazon.com..

Felix: the actor

Vance: What was the sentence?

Ying-Lan: ^" I can understand why people are firghented by new ideas. I'm frightenen of old ones." --John Cage.

Felix: i good quote

Felix: a good quote

Ying-Lan: ^" I can understand why people are firghtened by new ideas. I'm frightened of old ones." --John Cage.

Vance: He can't understand why they are frightened by new ideas, because old ones frighten him.

Ying-Lan: ^" I can not understand why people are firghtened by new ideas. I'm frightened of old ones." --John Cage.

Ying-Lan: ^You are right, Vance,

Ying-Lan: I missed the word "not"

Felix: "make the stones of your life, the stair for your ideal."

Felix: =unkown=

Maggi: I think maybe he means frightened of old ideas because they can be dangerous.

Ying-Lan: ^He is chasing the new idea, isn't he?

Ying-Lan: ^Have you head the project of IBM "E-learning" before?

Maggi: a new idea can be a breath of fresh air.

Vance: I'm looking up John Cage on the Internet. He's definitely a composer. Of very modern music. I like his stuff personally, but it's been criticized for simplicity, repetitiveness.

Maggi: I have a good story to show just what he means.

Ying-Lan: show me now

Maggi: me?

Ying-Lan: good story.

Ying-Lan: Tell me the good story.. please.

Felix: what is the story Maggi...? tell us]

Maggi: Take 5 chimps...but a staircase with a banana at the top.

Vance: Looks like John Cage wrote poetry too. Look him up on Altavista. Interesting.

Maggi: When the chimps start to climb the stairs to get the banana spray them with cold water.

Maggi: put a staircase I meant

Maggi: Ok...after about 3 times they will stop trying to go up the stairs.

Vance: Moral: Chimps like cold water with their bananas?

Maggi: Now remove one of the original group and replace it with a new chimp.

Maggi: This one will try to go up the stairs but be attacked by the others.

Maggi: Remove another of the original group and replace it.

Vance: But in this case, the voices of experience are the correct one. Replace chimps with soldiers.

Michael C: That's amazing. Is that true Maggi?

Maggi: This one will also be attacked...with gusto from the new member of the group who has no idea why he is doing it.

Maggi: Yes...this is true.

Vance: Soldiers from different countries.

Ying-Lan: ^Do the new goupr see the banana on the top of staircase?

Maggi: So, you keep going on until all have been replaced...the saying is...we have always done it this way...sound familiar?

Ying-Lan: group

Vance: Good one, M

Maggi: I THOUGHT SO:

Vance: I gotta run in a minute guys. My son is at home and I want to spend time with him.

Maggi: yes...Ying they can all see the banana but no one will go near it.

Ying-Lan: Why was the chimp attacked by another one?

Michael C: No worries Vance.

Ying-Lan: Why? Because of the cold water?

Maggi: No...the threat ... there was no cold water used.

Maggi: The first new one had no idea why he was being attacked.

Maggi: But it didnīt matter when the next new one came...he joined in the attack without knowing why.

Ying-Lan: ^l, we are bonded by our old experience, right?

Vance: It's a good illustration of fear of old ideas.

Maggi: it means that sometimes we do things and have no idea why.

Maggi: We just do it because it was always done that way and we never question why.

Vance: Also a good illustration of how governments can manipulate populations to act in ways that are rational only in the perspective of history.

Ying-Lan: got it

Maggi: yes...then we are manipulated

Maggi: and donīt question it

Maggi: those who do are attacked.

Maggi: those who attack do not really understand why they do it.

Maggi: Well Vance...go enjoy Glenn!

Ying-Lan: Thanks maggi, Michealc, Vance.

Vance: Actually, I'm waiting for my colleage to get off the phone. He said earlier he needed a ride.

Maggi: the same one who gave you a ride...?

Vance: No, a different one. This one doesn't have a car.

Vance: We are three in a large office.

Vance: The other guy does the hiring and he's on long distance with prospective employees.

Vance: (now's a good time to call him, MC)

Maggi: ned anyone?

Maggi: oops need

Vance: Only people who can spell need apply.

Maggi: :-(

Vance: Is MC there?

Maggi: he fell asleep maybe

Michael C: Well I think I'm satisfied with my ot here at the moment. Maybe when our youngest child leaves school.

Vance: with your ot?

Michael C: Satisfies with my LOT (and awake)

Maggi: You donīt hire women much there do you Vance?

Michael C: (can't type)

Maggi: donīt bother to apply then either :-)

Vance: We aren't supposed to admit to hiring practices that would be frowned upon in our home countries.

Maggi: thought so

Maggi: me be single and all is deadly.

Ying-Lan: ^How old is your young children?

Michael C: 16 Ying.

Ying-Lan: ^How old is your young children?

Ying-Lan: I see.

Vance: yeah. We are a military school. But you can get a job at Zayed University down the street, or at the Higher Colleges.

Maggi: naw...

Michael C: Two more years then I might be a bit freer to move around.

Vance: There are jobs her for anyone who wants one, qualified, MA.

Maggi: Two more years and I can fly the coop myself.

Vance: jobs here

Vance: WHen Stephan is 18?

Michael C: We can work for Vance in UAE!

Maggi: Yep.

Maggi: Then we can get some camels and go racing.

Vance: We left Glenn at 19 and thought that was a bit early, but he had no relatives. Does Stephan have relatives nearby?

Michael C: Then we probably wouldn't meet here anymore!

Maggi: no relatives here.

Maggi: we can meet at the camel derby...:-)

Michael C: Was Glenn happy for you to leave at the time Vance?

Ying-Lan: ^You sound that you want to get rid of your children...

Vance: My colleague is off the phone and doesn't need a ride ...

Maggi: I donīt want to get rid of my son Ying.

Vance: No, he was devastated, but he's survived it and is stronger and more reassured from the experience.

Maggi: But he needs to live his own life.

Ying-Lan: ^i think so.

Maggi: I canīt kl

Maggi: live it for him.

Michael C: I know what you mean Ying.

Vance: Speaking of Glenn, he's waiting for me at home and I don't get to see him often, so just one more capture of our logs ...

Michael C: The problem is we were all very mobile before we had children.

Michael C: The problem is we were all very mobile before we had children.

Maggi: yes....and mine now has wanderlust too!

Ying-Lan: I see.

Michael C: Like never before this generation of Western people had to gicve up all that when we had children.

Maggi: Go Vance...mc can save the rest of the log :-)

Michael C: It was hard. And we all yearn to start travelling again.!

Vance: OK, I'd appreciate that. Bye then.

Maggi: bye...enjoy!!

Michael C: But I din't ipen the log today. can I open it now?

Maggi: sure

Michael C: Oh well. Too late.

15:33:16 - Opening Log

Ying-Lan: I understood it.

Maggi: Never mind I got it.

Ying-Lan: ^You have to give up a lot of interesting things in your

life, when you have a baby.

Michael C: OK. Well it's time for me to go too. What happened to Felix?

Did he say goodbye? (That's true Ying.)

Maggi: yes...but a lot of other interesting things happen to you

#Ying.

Ying-Lan: ^But at the same time, you would get a lof of fun from your

childredn.

Maggi: Felix probably had to change diapers...:-)

Ying-Lan: ^It is true.

Michael C: But having children certainly gicves you a whole lot of

other things to do!

Ying-Lan: ^There are two side of the story.

Ying-Lan: ^To take more responsibilties...
