Description of dive:

After taking longer than expected with diving the previous day we got over to Khor Fakkan to claim our room at the Meridien at the much reduced rate of only $100 big double bed and breakfast. We had dinner and happy hour there as well and got them to give us late checkout, with some effort. It was a nice stay, arranged for me by Ibrahim, personable head of Emirates Diving Association.

The dive was very pleasant. We had been slated to clean the pile of rocks opposite Shariq Island, but as we whizzed by they looked pretty clean so we proceeded to a more diveable site. Here found a much more diveable site, and one that was pretty clean to begin with. Starting in the bay before Hole in the Wall, we found lovely red anenome beds a bit beyond the bay, turtles therein. Also scorpion fish, pipe fish, young baraccudas. We picked up some trash, mostly ropes from discarded nets and old pipes.

The anenome beds would be worth going back to look at.
