Comments:
Two rays, one finning out to depth, torpedo in the sand, and one big one at depth buried, and scrambled from sand as divers passed overhead

Training:
Night dive for Evan Davis, Ed Chaffin, and Russell Bowen, and Scott Benson
Comments:
Superb! dive. We dropped down the anchor line and let Evan, Russ and Ed explore south east and west on compass headings, and return to same spot. On one of these, saw a great big ray rippling through the water pretty unconcerned about us, among us, gliding along. Then we headed north to the rock and encountered more rays which stayed with us for some time, plus a guitar fish that came at us and went for the dark sand out of our torch beams. First time I'd ever seen one of those, so I was excited. Flatter than I'd imagined. I froze a clarinet fish in a torch beam and touched it, but another convulsed when I did that. Found a bunch or morays, mostly with brittle white and red crabs living symbiotically nearby. Big puffers entertained my crowd. A great dive.
